Scott Kreamer is a trial attorney with decades of experience representing clients in high-stakes civil litigation. His practice centers on commercial litigation, including construction, financial services, insurance, surety and fidelity, personal injury defense and products liability. He also has served as national counsel in toxic tort and financial services litigation.
Scott’s trial experience spans jury and bench trials in state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions. He has represented both defendants and plaintiffs, achieving favorable outcomes through verdicts, directed judgments and negotiated settlements. His ability to navigate complex legal and factual issues has earned the trust of clients across industries.
In addition to his trial work, Scott has an active appellate practice. He has briefed and argued cases before state and federal appellate courts, including the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits. His appellate work includes defending jury verdicts and securing favorable rulings on key legal principles, including the application of the economic loss doctrine.
Scott currently serves as the 2025–2026 president of Lawyers for Civil Justice, following prior terms as president-elect, vice president and secretary. He is a past president and former chairman of the board of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel and has held several other leadership roles within the organization, including secretary-treasurer, senior director, executive committee member, website director and dean of the Litigation Management College. He previously served on the board of directors for DRI.
He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the most prestigious professional organizations for trial attorneys in North America, recognizing less than one percent of the bar. His other professional affiliations include ALFA International’s Managing Partners Forum; the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, including the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee and the Litigation and Trial Practice Committee; the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys; the International Association of Defense Counsel; the Mortgage Bankers Association; and the National Bond Claims Association. He is also active in several local and state bar associations.
Scott is the firm’s Managing Member and is frequently invited to speak at legal conferences nationwide. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska, as well as before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.
