John Mahon Appointed Online Community Vice-Chair of DRI Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee
Baker Sterchi Member John Mahon has been appointed as Online Community Vice-Chair for the DRI Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee for the 2023-2024 term.
Mahon has been a member of DRI’s Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee for several years. In his role as Vice-Chair, alongside the Online Community Chair, he will be responsible for considering the goals of the online community, supporting marketing initiatives, and attending meetings.
In addition to his role at DRI, Mahon serves as Chair of the Baker Sterchi Healthcare Practice Group. He is also a member of the St. Louis Association of Healthcare Risk Managers. An active contributor to the firm’s Healthcare Law Blog, Mahon is frequently sought out to educate healthcare providers on legal issues.
As a civil litigation defense attorney, Mahon has amassed jury trial and appellate victories in representing hospitals, emergency departments, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers, emergency medical services (EMS) providers, long-term care facilities, and home health agencies. He is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois.
The mission of the DRI Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee is to be the "Standard of Care" for attorneys representing health care professionals and institutions. This goal is met in part through the committee's focus on education and skill development of our members, through seminars, webcasts and publications.
