Scott Kreamer Appointed to Executive Committee of Lawyers for Civil Justice
Baker Sterchi Managing Member Scott Kreamer has been appointed to the Executive Committee of Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ), a coalition of defense bar organizations, law firms and corporations committed to reform in the civil justice system. His participation on LCJ’s Executive Committee puts him in line to serve as president of the organization. He is currently serving as secretary.
Supported by the Defense Research Institute, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and International Association of Defense Counsel, LCJ initiatives are focused on multi-district litigation reforms, clarifying expert evidence standards, reasonable allocation of discovery costs, modernization of privilege log requirements, and protecting the right to file documents under seal. LCJ also supports an amicus program at both the trial and appellate levels.
Kreamer is active in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), having served as a past chairman of the board and president of the organization. He has also served on DRI’s Board of Directors. He practices in the areas of commercial, construction, financial services, insurance and product liability, having tried more than 30 cases in both state and federal courts.
Chambers USA named him to its list of top General Commercial Litigation attorneys in Kansas City and surrounding areas in 2022; The Business Journals named him to its list of 2019 Influencers: Law; and Best Lawyers in America® and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers consistently recognize him as a leading lawyer.
