Baker Sterchi Attorneys Contribute to ALFA Product Liability & Complex Torts Compendium and Quick Reference Guide


Kara Stubbs and Kehl Friesen, both Members in the firm’s Kansas City office, contributed to the Missouri portion of the ALFA International Product Liability & Complex Torts Practice Group’s 2022 Compendium. The compendium is meant to serve as a summary of a defendant’s ability to obtain a plaintiff’s complete pre and post incident medical history across the United States.  Friesen served as an editor of the compendium. 

Stubbs also contributed to the Missouri section of the group’s 2022 Product Liability Quick Reference Guide, a state-by-state guide to statute of limitations, liability standards, fault allocation, non-economic caps and limits on actual damages, availability of the Daubert standard, and more, for product liability actions involving personal injury. Stubbs is currently serving as Chair Emeritus of ALFA and is a co-chair of Baker Sterchi’s Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Practice Group.

Baker Sterchi is the Kansas City member firm of ALFA International, a premier global legal network of 140 independent law firms in the United States and internationally.
