John Cowden Earns "Lawyer of the Year" Recognition in The Best Lawyers in America© (2022 Edition)

The 2022 edition of The Best Lawyers in America© has recognized John Cowden as the Kansas City “Lawyer of the Year” in the practice area of aviation law. 

Recognition by Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review, with a methodology designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and practice area. Cowden is a locally and nationally recognized litigator and trial lawyer who has been defending cases for a variety of industry clients in the areas of class action, commercial, product liability, premises liability and more, for over 40 years.

He has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout his career, including having received the “Dean of the Trial Bar” award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association in 2010, the “Best of the Bar” award from The Kansas City Business Journal in 2006 and 2017, and the “Congenial Counselor Award” from the Missouri Bar in 2008.  He has been recognized by Chambers USA since 2008, Best Lawyers in America since 2012, and Super Lawyers since 2005.

Cowden received previously recognition from Best Lawyers in 2017 as ta Kansas City “Lawyer of the Year” in the practice area of Product Liability Litigation – Defendants, and from Super Lawyers as a Top 100 Kansas City, Missouri and Top 50 Kansas City, Missouri attorney for a number of years.
