BSCR Makes KCMBA Pro Bono Pledge   10/06/09

On October 2, BSCR attorneys John Cowden and Kori Carew attended a KCMBA sponsored Pro Bono Summit at KCMBA Headquarters, where they had the opportunity to meet and hear from nationally recognized speakers discussing strategies for using strong pro bono programs to retain associates and attract new business clients. At the conclusion of the Pro Bono Summit, BSCR joined other local firms in pledging to provide pro bono services as follows: (a) 50% of the firm's KC attorneys will provide at least 20 hours of pro bono work annually, (b) 25% of the firm's owners will provided 20 hours of pro bono work annually, and (c) the firm will give billable hour credit up to 50 hours per year to the attorneys who provide the pro bono services.
