Baker Sterchi Executive Director Attends Burton Awards

Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice Executive Director Karen Griggs attended the Burton Awards for Legal Achievement held in Association with the Library of Congress on June 13 in Washington DC.  The Supreme Court Justices were in attendance, including Justice Sonia Sotomayor who was the guest speaker as well as Justice Stephen Breyer who received the 2011 Book for the Year in Law award.

Griggs attended as an awards presenter in conjunction with her role as President of the Association of Legal Administrators.  ALA is the largest international association of professionals involved in the management of law firms, corporate legal departments and government legal agencies, with nearly 10,000 members in 30 countries.

This was the twelfth year of the Burton Awards, which recognizes the finest achievements in law.  CNN broadcasted the awards ceremony.
